Gambling Support
As part of our commitment to the community and those suffering from the addictive behaviors of Problem Gambling, Mid-Atlantic Rehabilitation Services provides one-on-one evidence-based therapy and counseling.

IIn conjunction with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of PA, MARS has worked to certify members of our team with Problem Gambling Endorsements. The Certificate of Competency in Problem Gambling is available only to those professionals holding a current and valid CAAC, CADC, CAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP Diplomate, or CCS credential from PCB and who meet the education requirement.
Often recognized by the term ‘Gambling Disorder’, it is now classified in the “Addiction and Related Disorders” category in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, fifth edition, published by the American Psychiatric Association.
Your treatment begins with a phone call either directly to MARS or to 1-800-GAMBLER and an intake assessment. Your evaluation will include the completion of several sanctioned self-assessments designed to help determine the level of your addictive behavior. From there you will be assigned a council who will work with one on one regarding understanding your gambling disorder, a review of your finances and money management, self-exclusion options, models of intervention, harm reduction, self-help, and the legal system and gambling.
